Future Events

Rehearsals
Wednesdays at Bexley School of Arts, 476 Forest Road, Bexley (next to the Masonic Hall) from 3rd February 2010. Beginners classes start 7pm and full Band starts at 7:30pm.

Greek National Day March, Sunday 21st March
This is a march in the city. Bands gather in Barrack Street from 1:30pm. March starts at 1:50pm and finishes at the Opera House.

Royal Easter Show, 11th April, 2010
St.George Brass will take part in the Parade of Bands. Starting times to be advised.

ANZAC Day 25th April, 2010
The Band will march again in the city march, perhaps with Liverpool City Brass.

Metropolitan Solo and Party Championships 2010
15th and 16th May at Bankstown Grammar School (again!).

Easter 2010
National Band Championships being held in Hobart. While St.George Brass is not competing, at least one of our members is playing for another band in this event.

East Coast Championships
We are considering going to Newcastle for this event which will be held on Sunday 13th June.

State Solo and Party Championships 2010
We will have entries as in previous years in the Solo and Ensemble Championships. This year, the event will be held at Wollongong Conservatorium on 26th and 27th June.

State Brass Band Championships 2010
25th and 26th September at Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith. Our MD is keen for us to enter Open D Grade and maybe even Junior C Grade (which is on 14th and 15th August at the same venue).

Kogarah Bed Race, usually late August
Street march in the morning and half hour concert after lunch.

Oatley Lions Festival Saturday 16th October 2010
Half hour performance on North Stage, information stall throughout the day.

Carolling throughout December 2010
Small groups in local shopping centres. Dates and venues to be advised.
